By virtually anchoring the art installation in areas such as melting glaciers, deforested rainforests, or coral bleaching zones, AR enables audiences to visualize these at-risk environments without physically being there. These immersive experiences create a visceral connection to the fragility of these ecosystems and create real-time “aha” reactions to the urgency of the climate crisis.
By superimposing the art installation onto real-world locations at the sites along the World Tour, viewers can simultaneously connect with the local environment and climate data, fostering a deeper awareness and inspiring action through vibrant, data-driven visuals integrated. This approach brings science to life, and transforms abstract data into emotional, impactful, localized experiences.
As part of the ActNow XR Experience, we are utilizing a custom designed platform for Augmented Reality (AR), to remix the world to inspire imagination, action, and change.
An interactive live in-world AR Art Installation, a 3D model of the hexagon sculpture equipped with dynamic video and audio, is activated within a geo-fenced area using geo-location tagging via NFC tag, or QR code, via a web address hosted through our creator's site.
The AR Art Installation will be unveiled at each location along the ActNow XR World Tour ONE MONTH prior to the Public Art Installation going live in Oslo, Rome, Bangkok, Osaka, and Miami Beach, and will remain accessible at each site for the duration of the tour.
Explore our geo-tagged AR installations at each of the Climate Tipping Point locations, identified by GPS coordinates, through an interactive web-based map. Click on any location to instantly access immersive AR experiences directly in your browser—no app required!"
