Experience fragile climate tipping points as they hold steady on the brink
of change, if we manage to cap global temperature rise at 1.5°C. The Atlantic Ocean currents remain resilient, Arctic ice retreats but endures, coral reefs struggle yet persist, and the rainforest breathes life into our atmosphere. This journey shows the power of timely action to preserve Earth’s delicate balance and to sustain the ecosystems we depend on.
Explore a world where global temperatures have risen by 3°C, triggering irreversible climate tipping points. The Atlantic Ocean currents weaken, setting off chaotic weather patterns; Arctic ice rapidly vanishes, altering global climates; coral reefs are damaged, losing their vibrant life; and rainforests begin to transform, releasing more carbon than they absorb. This journey reveals the stark future of a planet pushed beyond its limits.
Ice, Snow, and Permafrost
Location: Arctic Polar Region
and the Greenland Ice Sheet
Climate Impact: Melting
Threats:
Heatwaves, sea level rise, release of GHGs, wildlife loss
Solution:
Phase-out fossil fuels, shift to clean, renewable energy
Atlantic Meridional
Overturning Circulation
Location: Gulf Stream
Climate Impact: Weakening
Threats:
Temperature changes, extreme weather, floods, droughts
Solution:
Limit global warming to 1.5°C,
prioritize climate adaptation
Coral Triangle
Location: Indonesian Archipelago
Climate Impact: Bleaching
Threats:
Rising ocean temps, ocean acidification, marine life loss
Solution:
Establish marine protected areas, restore reefs
Tropical Rainforest
Location: Amazônia
Climate Impact: Shifting

JAN 24 | UN International Education Day | UNESCO
The curatorial narrative of the projection show takes visitors on a journey around planet Earth, starting with the beauty and power of nature and biodiversity, the impermanence of ancient civilizations, the Anthropocene - man-made impacts driving climate change, healing with indigenous knowledge and ceremony, and transitioning to a sustainable future.
FEB 20 | UN World Day of Social Justice | UNDP & ILO
Visitors took a journey through the Metaverse to the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Australia. Here the sky itself became a projection dome, bringing to life stories and cultural traditions of the Anangu Aboriginal people's that, since time immemorial, have kept things in balance, and today, help combat Climate Change and promote Sustainability.
ACTNOW VIRTUAL REALITY PILOT PROJECT | WORLD EXPO DUBAI
ActNow VR launched a Pilot Project at the World Expo in MetaDubai on Microsoft's multi-user social VR platform, AltspaceVR.
By creating a 'digital twin' of the Al Wasl Dome architectural monument as a 3D immersive destination in the Metaverse, we provided an immersive, interactive space for visitors from all of the world to visit, virtually.
Thousands of avatars were able to portal in from over 20 countries to join the 24-hour live hybrid/VR pilot event, generating over 200,000 actions tracked on the UN's ActNow App.
